Welcome spring in this new lacy scarf crochet pattern. This simple and easy design will spice up your wardrobe. The pattern is worked using DK weight cotton yarn for stitch definition. You can also try it with acrylic DK weight yarn. You want to turn it into a wrap? Just add more rows. I hope you enjoy working on this pattern.

1. DK weight yarn. I used 2 and a half balls of Knit Picks CotLin.
2. Hooks G (4mm) and E(3.5mm)
62 inches long and 7 inches wide. You can easily add to the width of your scarf by adding more rows.
Gauge Swatch: With hook G (4mm), ch 34 and follow the pattern for the scarf. Once you have completed 5-6 rows, check your gauge.
2 Shells alternating with 2 clusters= 4 inches long
Row gauge doesn’t matter.
Used less than 3 balls of Knit Picks CotLin, around 270 yards.
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
Shell: Work [dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc] all in the same st.
Cluster: YO, insert hook in specified st and pull up a loop, YO and pull through 2 loops on hook, YO, insert hook in the same st and pull up a loop, YO and draw through 2 loops on hook, YO and draw through all the 3 loops on hook.
Note: The Scarf is worked lengthwise. The pattern is worked over multiples of 8+2.
Row 1:With hook G (4mm), chain 250, 1 sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each remaining ch. Turn.—249 sc
Row 2:Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and ch 1), dc in same st as beginning ch 4, ch 2, sk next 3 sc, sc in next st, * ch 2, sk next 3 sts, shell in next st, ch 2, sk next 3 sts, sc in next st, repeat from * across to last 4 sts, ch 2, sk next 3 sts, [ dc, ch 1, dc] all in last sc. Turn.——–30 shells
Row 3: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st as ch 1, 1 sc in next ch-1 space, *ch 3, Cluster in next sc, ch 3, sc in first ch-1 space of next shell, ch 1, sc in 2nd ch-1 space of same shell, repeat from * and after cluster in last sc, ch 3 , 1sc in last ch-1 space between next dc and turning ch. Turn. —–31 clusters
Row 4: Ch 4, 1 dc in same st as beginning ch 4, ch 2, 1 sc in top of next cluster, *ch 2, shell in next ch-1 space, ch 2, sc in top of next cluster, repeat from * and after working 1 sc in top of last cluster, ch 2, [dc, ch1, dc] in last sc. Turn.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until your scarf is 7 inches wide and you end in a shell row.
Leveling Row (Last): Switch to the smaller hook or crochet tightly. Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, sc in next ch-1 space, 1 sc in next dc, *[1 sc and hdc] in next ch-2 space, 1 hdc in next sc, [1 hdc and sc] in next ch-2 space, 1 sc in first dc of shell, 1 sc in ch-1 space, sl st in middle dc of shell, sc in ch-1 space, 1 sc in last dc of the shell, repeat from * and after you work [1 hdc and sc] in last ch-2 space, 1 sc in next dc, 1 sc in ch-1 space, sl st in top of beginning ch 3. Fasten off.
Weave in any tails left.
