This is hands down one of the most famous of my patterns on Pinterest. The easy texture and the colors are to die for. Good boy crochet items are so hard to find but this 4 Hour Blanket will make a perfect baby boy gift. You can change up the colors and make it for a girl baby too. What’s stopping you?

#2. 5 Hour Free Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern

 

This baby blanket crochet pattern is another one of my reader favorites. The stitch is a modification of the Moss stitch. The yarn really brings out the texture and you can whip up this beauty in just 5 hours.

#3. 3 Hour Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

 

This is the fastest crochet baby blanket in my collection, the 3 Hour Blanket. This blanket has received much love and is one of the most-watched videos on my YouTube channel too.

 

The crochet pattern is a simple 2-row repeat that looks like hearts stacked on top of each other. This is a beginner-friendly pattern with no extra bells and whistles. If you know how to work a double crochet stitch, you can make this blanket. The finished blanket is 37 inches wide and 36 inches long but is easily customizable to any size.

#4. Mock Granny Stitch Pattern for Crochet Baby Blanket

 

This cute crochet baby blanket can be made in just 6 hours. The stitch is an imitation of the granny stitch.  Half double crochet stitches were used to design this Mock Granny Stitch Blanket.

You can crochet this gorgeous baby blanket using a simple stitch and 3 lovely colors in just under 5 hours. If you prefer a no holes baby blanket, this pattern is a perfect fit. Sometimes basic stitches and the right colors are all you need to create a beautiful crochet baby afghan.

#7. Mint Choco Chip Crochet Baby Blanket 

This crochet baby afghan is designed with a combination of simple half double crochet and chain stitches. The stitch pattern however gives the look of a bean stitch without much effort. When you don’t have much time on your hands, this is a perfect blanket that you can crochet in just 4 hours.

 

 

The finished blanket is 36 inches wide and 40 inches long. Bernat Blanket yarn in color Seafoam and Dark gray and Bernat Baby Blanket in color White were used for the sample blanket.

#8. 6 Hour Crochet Blanket for Baby

 

I combined a knit-look herringbone half double crochet and a fake bobble stitch to design this crochet baby blanket. These fake bobbles are so easy to work and add the required texture to your blanket. It is an easy pattern that you can whip up in just 6 hours.

 

I used 1 skein of Bernat Blanket yarn in colors Coral Blossom and Overcast, and just a 1/4 skein of the color Vanilla to crochet this blanket. The finished blanket was 32 inches wide and 41 inches long. The chain multiples for the pattern are given so you can make it in any size you want.

#9. 4.5 Hour Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

This is a super easy and mindless pattern that you can work while watching your favorite show on Television. The stitch pattern is very simple but looks textured in this yarn.

 

 

I used colors Merlot, Coral, and Vanilla from Bernat Blanket yarn to crochet this baby blanket. To work a 37 inches wide and 38 inches long blanket, it took me just 4.5 hours. You don’t have to fasten off when you change colors which means you will have fewer ends to weave in at the end.

#10. Waves Baby Blanket

This is another super quick blanket that can be crocheted in just 5 hours. A simple mix of tall and short stitches create this beginner-friendly wave design. Make one for your baby or for your home.

 

 

1 skein of Bernat Blanket yarn in colors Dark teal, Almond, and White were used for making this afghan. The finished blanket is 40 1/2 inches long and 35 inches wide. The size can easily be adjusted to suit your needs.

#11. Pile of Squish Crochet Baby Blanket

This cute baby blanket crochet pattern is my new addition to the quick blankets collection. Adding a front post double crochet stitch into the mix adds oodles of texture to this crochet baby blanket.

 

 

I tried it in boy colors but you can try it for a girl baby in shades of pink as well. Try experimenting with the width of the stripes to make this design your own. If colorful blankets are not your style, I am sure it will look great in a single color too. Texture always does!

#12.Baby Bear Blanket Crochet Pattern

I tried applique with Bernat Blanket yarn for the first time with this blanket and loved how cute it turned out. The stitch pattern is a variation of the V-st and works up really quickly. I made this blanket in just about 5 hours. What a great baby shower gift it would make!

 

 

The stitches on this blanket are tightly knit which gives you a very warm and cuddly blanket. The bear applique is optional and the blanket would look lovely even without it.

#13. Cookies and Cream Baby Crochet Blanket

I have always used bright and cheerful colors for my baby blankets, so I decided to choose neutral colors this time. This blanket uses a simple mix of single crochet and chains but looks lovely in this yarn.

 

 

I used Bernat Blanket in the color Almond and Bernat Baby Blanket in color White for this blanket. It is a beginner-friendly pattern that takes only 4 hours to work up.

How to Resize a Crochet Blanket Pattern?

There are many ways you can change the size of a blanket. You can switch to a bigger or smaller hook or switch to a thicker or thinner yarn. If you use a smaller hook or thinner yarn, your blanket will get smaller.

 

Using a bigger hook will make your stitches larger and hence your blanket bigger. A smaller hook on the other hand will make tighter stitches and result in a smaller crochet baby blanket.

 

The best way to resize a blanket is to adjust the number of repeats. That way you have more control over how big your finished blanket will be.

 

Crochet a gauge swatch to calculate how many stitches per inch you get with the yarn and hook combination you plan to use. All patterns will generally tell you how to make a gauge swatch or tell you the initial chain multiple.

 

If you need a bigger baby blanket, add more repeats based on the number of repeats per inch. To go smaller, take away repeats.
