Crochet Basket Pattern, Round Nesting Basket Set

Share the Love!

This round crochet basket pattern is a one-skein project that makes a beautiful and practical way to organize your home. It can serve many purposes depending on your needs.

Two stacked crochet baskets, big and small

Two finished crochet baskets nested

You can use it as a fruit basket in your kitchen. Or how about using it as a yarn bowl while crocheting?

Crochet baskets holding yarn balls in them

Cream and brown crochet baskets with apple and orange in them

Since the yarn used is quite thick and a smaller hook is used than recommended, the basket holds its shape really well, making it perfect for home decor as well. The baskets can also be nested together for easy storage when not in use.

Repeat Round 4 two more times and turn. The following rounds will be worked on the outside without turning at the end of rounds.

Round 5: Pull up the loop on your hook just a tad, *(1 hdc in next sc right before the ch-2 loop, 2 sc in next ch-2 loop, sk next 2 dc), repeat from * and after working 2sc in the last ch-2 loop, sk last 2 dc and sl st to first hdc, do not turn. (54, 63)sts

Round 6: Ch 1 ( does not count as a st), 1 sc in same st, mark this st, 1 sc in each st across, sl st to first sc, mark this sl st. Do not turn.

Round 7: Sl st in each stitch across, stopping in the stitch just before the marked slip stitch. Finish with an invisible join for a clean, polished look.
