This crochet pattern can be used to make hats for both boys and girls. The pattern uses only basic crochet stitches but it can be tricky working with three colors. I have given tips in the pattern to make working with three colors comfortable. I would suggest you use one very bright or dark color and one neutral.  If you choose to use only two colors  then your hat will have vertical stripes  like the black and white shown at the bottom of this post.

 

  

 

*The pattern uses Hooks G ( 4.25mm) for size 6-12 months and Hook H (5mm) for all the other sizes.

  

 

*It is written in standard American terms.

 

  

*Pattern includes all sizes from newborn to adult. Hat is worked using Wortsed weight/ Aran (Size 4 Medium) yarn.
