Have you always loved the look of knit hats? Then this crochet hat pattern is for you. A simple variation of regular half double crochet stitch will give you this knit or Tunisian crochet look. Using a smooth yarn will give you a knit look while using a regular one will give you a Tunisian crochet look.
The single ply smooth green yarn I used in the sample was Stitch Nations Full O’ Sheep. It was discontinued but you can find it on eBay. I got the purple and grey yarn from a local yarn store. Lion Brand Landscapes yarn or Bernat Sheepish could be good substitutes. You can even use the regular yarns available but it would look more Tunisian than knit like the cream hat above.
