I named it the Pie Crust Scarf because it looks just like the edge of a pie. The name was suggested by one of my lovely Facebook followers, and I couldn’t be more thankful for it!

Stitch Abbreviations
The pattern is written in US terms.
ch: chain
sk: skip
sl st: slip st
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
YO– yarn over
fpsc: front post single crochet
WS: wrong side of crochet fabric
Stitch Explanations
1. Sc in the back bump: Insert your hook into the tiny loop under your foundation chain and work your sc.
2. Front post single crochet (fpsc): It is worked like a regular sc except for the way you insert your hook. Insert your hook to the back through the gap before the post of the hdc st specified, bring it back to the front through the gap after the post, pull up a loop, YO, and pull through 2 loops to complete a fpsc.
3. sc2tog: It is a decrease worked across 2 sts to join them into one. Pull up a loop in each of the next 2 sts, YO, and pull through all the 3 loops on your hook—–sc2tog completed
Gauge
With an H(5 mm) hook, 5 repeats = 4 inches long

Loosely Ch 35. You can chain any multiple of 3+2 to make your scarf wider. If you cannot chain loosely, use the next size hook just for the foundation chain and then switch to a 5mm hook.

Adding Tassels
Note: Attach tassels on the Right side of the scarf. You can choose whichever side you like as your Right side.
I used a small book to make tassels. You can also substitute a thick 5.75-inch-wide cardboard for the book. Wrap the yarn multiple times around the small book or your cardboard. Cut along one side to get many strands of the same length.

Take 3 strands, fold at the middle of the strands, and pull through the edge of the crochet scarf to form a loop, grab the ends with your hook, and pull through the loop (see pic above). Now tug gently to tighten the loop.
First, add a tassel in each corner st, then add one in every 3rd st. Repeat on both edges of your scarf.
Finishing
Weave in any tails left along the wrong side of the scarf.
