Adding Tassels
Pattern Notes
1. The tassels should be attached to the RS of the scarf where you placed the marker.
2. I used a small book to make my tassels. You can also use a thick 6-inch wide cardboard to make it.
3. Wrap the yarn multiple times around a small book or cardboard. Cut along one side to get strands of the same length.
4. If there is any tail at the point of attaching the tassels, we will use fewer strands and pull that tail into the tassel to hide it.
5. If there is and if there are no tails or only 1 tail at the point of attaching the tassel, use 3 strands to make your tassel
6. If there are 2 tails at the point of attaching the tassel, use 2 strands to make your tassel
For 4 to 5 Years
Note: First attach 2 tassels to the corners, then attach 2 more in the middle area. Attaching to the corners first will help you position them better.
How to Add Tassels
Take 2/3 strands, fold at the middle, and pull through the edge of the crochet scarf to form a loop, grab the yarn ends with your hook, and pull through the loop. If you have any tails at that point, pull it through the loop too . Now tug gently to tighten the loop.
For 6 to 10 Years and Adult
Note: First, attach two tassels to the corners, then one in the center. Now, add one between each of the two tassels.
How to Add Tassels
Take 2/3 strands, fold at the middle, and pull through the edge of the crochet scarf to form a loop, grab the yarn ends with your hook, and pull through the loop. If you have any tails at the point, pull it through the loop too. Now tug gently to tighten the loop.
Finishing
1. Weave in any remaining tails left on the back side of the crochet scarf.
2. Lay the scarf flat, run your fingers through the tassels, and trim the edges to level it.
