How to Join a New Color
To join a new color at the end of the row, start working your last fpsc around the beginning ch-2 and when you have 2 loops on your hook, YO and pull through the new color you would like to join. Then you can cut off the previous color.
Note: Each stripe is made of 9 rows of the pattern stitch. Only the beginning and ending cream-colored stripes have sc rows in addition to these 9 rows.
Row 11: Unravel the last fpsc of the cream stripe. Now, rework the fpsc while joining the next color, blue (Seafoam). Repeat Row 3 with the new color joined.
Rows 12 to 19: Repeat Row 3 and join the Beige color yarn while working the last st of the final row.
Rows 20 to 28: Repeat Row 3 with beige color yarn and join cream color yarn at the end of the last row.

Rows 47 to 55: Repeat Row 3 with beige color yarn and join cream color yarn at the end of the last row.
Rows 56 to 64: Repeat Row 3 with cream color yarn but do not join another color. Turn.
Leveling Row: Continue with cream color, ch 1, 1 sc in same st, 1 sc in next st, 1 sc in next ch 2 space, *(1 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next hdc, 1 sc in next ch-2 space) repeat from * until you work a sc in the last ch-2 space, 1 sc in next 2 sts, 1 sc on top of beginning ch-2, turn.
Last Row: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st and each st across to end. Fasten off.
